Waning moon still bright / memories of your dark eyes / as they looked away

Apple blossom rain / a pigeon coos his greeting / this Easter morning

Avenue of trees / scattered with crows chasing worms / after the rain storm

Practicing shorthand / lightning cracks outside and scares / the cat at my feet

This early summer / has the birds misbehaving / fighting over scraps

That ugly old crow / Still perched on the same old fence / Soaked by the same rain
