a good grandmother / she would have made had she lived / cancer keeps stealing
Bashed again on rocks / you say "things will get better" / then wait for the waves
Traumatic birthing / expelled screaming from the womb / bed. I hate mornings!
I can't always be / there; I'll try to kiss enough / to last a lifetime
we ran for the bus / panting, wheezing, giggling and / feeling the gluhwein.
Blow the clarion / conch or hear only tumult / recirculating
Better to be right / than all else; than laughed at, than / gracious, than loving.
I pray that every / time you open the file / paper mites bite you
Children clear mines, wield / batons on frontlines- Supreme / pagan sacrifice.
your shuddering breath / teases along my eager / ear, our secret
