Despite the warm sun / Rain's moving down the valley / Clouds form overhead

Caressed by the sun / Rubbing sleep from weary eyes / The world's waking up

Bringing bluest sky / warmest sun & gentlest breeze / september has come

Wind is whispering / wistfully to nodding grass / summer's almost gone

Mountains stand brooding / In clear September sky / As wooly sheep graze

Dark and forbidding / The lake looks univiting / At this time of night

like purple pillows / scattered on mountainous beds / late heather still blooms
