I was gonna write / haiku while stuck in traffic / winter light turned green

Sharp bare winter trees / scratch the back of slate grey sky / rainy afternoon

Winter sky at dusk / holly wind smells cold and clean / ghosts of last night's snow

All seasons are same / hospital hall light calm, soft / gentle as a shroud

Clear blue winter sky / seagull cry in the distance / low sun still shines warm

Red beacon shines bright / rainbow sunset over bay / moat ice calm and still

One bell tolls far away / dusk shadows under dogwoods / purple glove in tree
