A suitcase sits still, / empty and hungry for clothes, / a toothbrush and me.
When the cynics rule, / the world is logic and "truth." / I'd rather have dreams.
Without proper steam, / our motivation dwindles. / Boil the water.
The girl is the glue / that binds the group; without her, / the faction crumbles.
Dreams harass my thoughts, / frequently showing me things / I can never have.
The sun will come up / no matter your mood, temper / or lack of hygiene.
Without compromise, / I threw relationships like / unraveled baseballs.
Without regrets, we / poured our hearts in tiny flasks / and downed them in one.
Soldiers fought and died / for our right to freely talk, / live and dream bigger.
Born of wicked thought, / Lust danced among men's dreams where / she was most potent.
Iâve grown long ears with / furry patches on my skin⦠/ bite of the Bijou.
Dear BP, stop it. / Stop killing the innocent / ocean and natives.
We'll ride Ferris Wheels / with our hopes and dreams as high / as the highest cart.
Watching waves sparkle / with the wind, we prized nature / on the green-gloss raft.
