A still moonlit night / Merton's frog says "Om" / Mine just croaks
Drinking tea, I watch / blackbird tossing autumn leaves / blackbird gobbling worms
Lao Tzu came to introduce me to myself / but I was out, visiting Lao Tzu / so we never met
Walking by myself / For company, a dry leaf / scuttling in the wind
for this a.m. Cold rainy morning / People rush to work, heads bowed, / missing the rainbow
Cold wind. Rain coming. / Then honeysuckle perfume / reminds me, it's spring
Snow, wind, rain, sunshine / buds bursting and birds nesting / tempestuous spring.
Green force thrusting up / The weeds will not be denied / their glory in spring
The old cat teaches / with a contemptuous paw / young mice never learn
shower of elm seeds / glisten in the spring sunshine / gladden my dark heart
Old man winter blows / the maiden spring a farewell / forget-me-not kiss
Grey sky, chilly wind / old man winter embraces / sulking maiden spring
In the stillness there / I found the uncharted you / I had always known
Go deep in silence / beyond your heartbeat to hear / the song of flowers
Pink tinge in the east / glowing white moon in the west / time to begin again
Fallen yellow leaves / shroud darkly the damping earth / womb for spring seedlings
