Sun broke noon cover- / biting fingers remember / the pulse of the day.
still! hummingbird mind- / bask in ruby-throated chants / pursed lips pass the key
crocus juts thru snow- / how many times just to see / the first day of Spring?
I am the night owl, / wings tucked neatly behind me- / dew beads on beer can.
the laughter echoes / from steel blue corners of sky / below, a sun beams.
Mother's Day dinner- / Thai tea taste strangely bitter / only with one cup.
some nights I forget- / hushing waves call from the shore / telling me to sleep.
Below Fuji-san / lone pine tree sheds a white robe / Spring in Hakone.
wasps and hornets flee! / Remembering Oakland hills / tasting my spilled wine.
Stellar Jays bicker- / forgetting to close my eyes / and the laptop too.
San Francisco bound- / thru the Monday haze and toll / Brown Pelican glides.
brawler / crossing / time
no stone sinks faster / than leadened words or sunset / burning in my eyes
the pitter patter- / rain drops and Robeez / beneath the oak tree
reading The Bible / the prostitue and hipster share / this cold Oakland rain.
the rock tarries not / nor the fallen leaf on street- / each has its own place.
Feel the sea water / taste of sunshine thru your skin- / dream the thoughts of clouds.
In night's looking glass / two eyes firmly hold your cheek / hint of gardenias
choosing book covers / he liked the one with the tree- / apple blossom time
a tiny splinter / the wind squeak of the door / my mind collapsing
crickets / play to / no one
Hills of Borello / from nights of my childhood / all the fireflies
running late to lunch / red legged spider avoids / it's midday shadow.
Three bells walk the night / a crying child is soothed / by the neighbor's cat
